Projects

If there were two things that would describe me best (besides handsome and modest), it would have to be creative and inventive. I’ve long had a passion for creating and building for as long as I can remember. In fact, I’ve always been involved in some sort of creative outlet — may it be programming or actual physical creativity — I’m all about doing projects. This is where you will find both my Do It Yourself (DIY) Home Projects and software projects.

Applications & Plugins

WordPress Plugin: wp-lists

If you haven’t noticed by now — I love making lists. That’s what I do. You know, all types of lists; grocery lists, to-do lists, shit lists, hit lists, movies lists, music lists, etcetera etcetera. However, being able to keep track of all my lists in a centralized and intuitive manner has always been a great challenge. However, ever since my migration to WordPress, I have been able to neatly manage all types of different information — of course — with the exception of lists. Therefore, I set out to generally appease my own hunger by developing an easy to use, customizable yet powerful plugin for my ever beloved WordPress. Do you love lists as much as I do? If so, my meticulous kin, find out more about wp-lists »

WordPress Plugin: wp-exec

After several failed attempts to embed dynamic data inside the WordPress posts and pages, I realized that there had to be a better way. I was originally very eager to play around with the RunPHP plugin but I was never able to get it to work on pages (only posts). That was a major letdown. But then when WordPress 1.5 went beta … it just stopped working all together. Being resourceful like McGyver, I decided that I could circumvent these issues by using the “Templates” in order to insert custom code/dynamic content. Naturally, the templates got out hand and updating them become a real pain. Therefore, I decided to develop a new plugin which allowed users to easily embed dynamic content and call functions from within posts and pages. This plugin became wp-exec »

WordPress Plugin: wp-spoiler

You’ve probably seen this functionality in many different forums. This plugin allows you to encapsulate text within <spoiler> tags to make the content unreadable until the user wants to read it. This is an example of a spoiler tag. Read more about wp-spoiler »
