New Year’s Resolution
I have never really been the type of guy who read. I always found watching paint dry, or stabbing my eyeballs with serrated needles, much much more enjoyable and stimulating. I suppose I just felt as though that reading was a tad mundane for an intellectual like myself. But alas, like most abused children, Father Time has gotten the best of me and I have started to become much more engaged in the literary world. For my two-thousand-six New Year’s resolution, I have resolved to read at least 40 books by the end of the year. It sounds a bit far-fetched, but I’m shooting for the moon.
And so, without further adieu, here is my current list:
Freakonomics by Steven Levitt & Stephen Dubner2001: A Space Oddyssey by Arthur Clarke(Recommender: Britni Falter)The World Is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman(Recommender: Kalyan Chandra)The Long Walk by Stephen King(Recommender: Britni Falter)Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption by Stephen King(Recommender: Britni Falter)Hearts In Atlantis by Stephen King(Recommender: Britni Falter)Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain(Recommender: Britni Falter)Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk(Recommender: Britni Falter)- Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer (Recommender: Britni Falter)

Recommendations are very welcome. Otherwise, I have to start picking off Amazon’s top rated.
Yours,
Navid the Intellectual.
