So Close, But No Cigar.

This week has been very mechanical and well-crafted. I finally signed the last of the paperwork and put down my certified check. I pick up the keys tomorrow evening. I also activated the utilities (gas, electric and water) and signed up for Comcast Digital TV and High-Speed Internet. I opted for the extra $9.99/month and got the 8Mbs connection. That is twice as fast as what I had back in California. I can only imagine the goodies the fat bandwidth will bring.

I won’t have internet at home until Tuesday. However, after that I am going to restart working on my home entertainment system. It will include a lot of fancy gadgets including a lot of items from my old home theatre mixed in and centered around the new Xbox 360. I don’t actually play games but I’ll be using Windows XP Media Center Edition to explore a world of home-wide connectivity and cohesiveness.

I have so much more to say and discuss but alas I have to get up really early tomorrow morning. I wish you all a wonderful night and I can’t wait to be back.

Adieu. Navid.
