Weekend Briefing

I finally got around to securing my wireless network at home. Being a techie and having procrastinated for more than two weeks on this very important aspect of wireless computing, I came to realize why there are so many unsecured wireless connections floating about. Once you get something like your wireless internet connection working, the intuitive notion is don’t fuck with it. Therefore, this strong contradiction between not fucking with something while its working and trying to be as security cautious as possible, we encounter a deadlock. Unfortunately, for us, a sprinkle of procrastination helps the “not fucking with something while its working” paradigm to edge out and win. Consequently, we have all these unsecured networks floating about. Makes sense? I think so too.

In other terribly exciting news, my Black Single Slim DVD Cases arrived. Did you know that a pack of 200 weighs 37 pounds? Damn, no joke. Anyway, it’s going to fucking kick ass while I finish this DVD Collection of mine. I’ve pretty much prepared the backend source (database) and the collected most of the information and all the labels are ready to be printed. I’m contemplating adding more information but that would compound the amount of items which need to be printed out. And ink is expensive.

I’ve started to layout the DVD Covers but I’m not yet 100% sure on how I’d like it done. It’s not a matter of life and death but as you have noticed I am quite hardcore when it comes to things such as these. I suppose this is where I extract and explore my geekdom. Although I would still never consider myself a geek; I prefer the label anal-compulsive.

Adieu. Navid.
