Knotts, Midterms and Money

What can I say? The weekend was great. Brit, I and my cousin Arshia hit up Knotts Scary Farm. We had an awesome time since we got to do everything we had planned to do and more. We did the mazes, we did the rides (GhostRider Owns You) and we ate grossly expensive cheeseburgers and fries. What more could you ask for? We screamed, we laughed, we cried. A splendid night it was indeed.

I had my Artificial Intelligence midterm on Friday … which went suprisingly well. I bet it was because Britni made me study (and actually, she also helped me…) She’s way smart. She even knew the answer to one of the questions that I didn’t know — and people consider me good at Comp Sci. This just simply proves the phrase ‘my better half’. She’s awesome. I need to count my blessings each and every moment that I have her.

I have two more midterms coming up. On Friday, I have physics but I have no idea when my math midterm is…. and I’m too afraid to ask the Professor! He might realize I haven’t attended lecture. So, here’s my plan: I will attend all lectures until it’s midterm day. Hopefully I won’t do so bad. I winged my quiz (didn’t attend lecture, wasn’t in discussion) and I got a 9/10 :) Good ol’ Cramer’s Rule. Oh, and even better, I only lost that point due to technicality, my answers were right. 8) Anyway, I have no idea how to do any of the physics crap so I need to sit down and read the entire book and teach myself 4 chapters in the next three days. I can do it, right? I need to keep a high gpa this quarter so I can prove to my employer that I am capable of working high hours and go to school fulltime. It’s the only way I can afford living on my own and spending like I do. I’ve decided that I’ll start saving money two months from now. That means I’ll have a limited (cash) budget for myself each month, and the rest of my money (besides rent/utilities) will have to be kept in reserve in the bank. The reason I need to do this is because I make a lot of money yet I am always broke. So there needs to be some sort of legislation and/or control on my cash flow. Granted, the home theatre system really took out a big chunk, I should be doing ‘well’ and that’s what I intend on doing within the next several months. I will be STRONG on my feet and keeping it steady. By Christmas holidays I will be able to work full time again and thus, push a spike into my savings plan… and then by next summer hopefully I can get a raise and that can help me save even more easily! Ahhh.. we’ll see, we’ll see. Life is so funny. You plan things so carefully and everything goes a muck. I love life; it’s such an adventure.

Adieu. Navid.
